Bill Master's two minute speech
Hello,
Im Bill Masters, a Candidate running for the Lake Holiday
board of directors. If elected, I feel I can make a
positive contribution, and my years of experience and good common
sense would be an asset to our community.
Two of my major issues are the urgent need for improved
communications between management, the board, and the community.
I am a strong advocate that the residents have, not only the
need, but the right to be kept abreast of issues that will effect
our community and our way of life. This knowledge is a tool
to insure the direction, attitude, and stand of your elected
board members. It is a way to insure that the Boards actions
reflect the wishes and ideals of our community. I feel no
decision is a good decision if it fails to address and in compass
what is in the best interest of our community and as important,
the direction of the majority.
Our community has indeed come a long way in the last few years.
That is not an issue. To me, the issue is why has
been so costly and taken so long. I feel confident as more
qualified Candidates come forward with their enthusiasm, energy
and expanded attitudes and knowledge, this community will go a
lot further in a much shorter time.
Many of the families in our community are working and have
children. Understandable, their limited time makes serving
on a board or committee impractical. The result has been a
lack of new qualified Candidates. This up coming election
is affording the voters the opportunity to elect Candidates who
have never served on our board. I feel their getting
elected will bring needed enthusiasm, energy, knowledge and
approaches to the table which will certainly energize the board.
My issues are not intended to have a negative tone but to suggest
that it is inherent that those in politics and public positions
all too often become complacent and numb to the concerns of those
they represent. They began to act and push their own agenda
thinking they know whats best rather then the agenda of the
people they represent.
Your vote counts. I ask for your vote
Bill Masters
